Keep Your Pieces Looking their best by doing the following:

• We always recommend storing your jewelry in a clean, dry, and dark area. Any Chakra Jewel pouches or Jewelry boxes are the perfect homes for your pieces. 
• Maintain the integrity of your jewelry by ensuring to avoid contact with water, hair products, lotions, makeup, perfumes, soaps, hand sanitizer and cleaning products. 
• Always remove your jewelry prior to washing your hands, taking a shower, applying any body lotion or perfumes, working out, swimming or sleeping. 
• To keep your Chakra Jewels looking their best, avoid storing them in direct sunlight and humid environment.  
• Do not spray on perfume when wearing these pieces. If you have sprayed on perfume, wait for it to totally dry before putting on your accessories.
• Some people who are known to be acidic cause metallic accessories to oxidize/darken. If one is acidic in body chemistry, please do not wear your accessories against bare skin or expose the pieces to sweat.

• Don't wear your accessories in salt water. If you do, know that this may cause your accessories to darken.

• After wearing the pieces, wipe them with a soft flannel cloth before putting them away.

  Store individual pieces separately to prevent them from scratching one another.

  Minor tarnish can be buffed off with a jewelry polishing cloth or a mild jewelry cleaner, but cleaning heavy tarnish may also remove some of the gold or silver plating on the piece so go easy on the buffing.

  At the end of the day, know that only real solid gold that's 14 karat and above & platinum do not tarnish. Even sterling silver oxidizes/tarnishes over time particularly if it is not worn often. 

  Please bear all these in mind when purchasing and caring for your jewelry as following these guidelines will help maintain the look of your pieces when you first wore them for as long as possible.

ION / GOLD PLATED METAL DESIGNS:

Keep your metal pieces clean by gently polishing them with a soft, dry cloth after wear. If necessary, warm soapy water can be used to clean our metal designs. Make sure to dry each piece thoroughly before placing them in our Chakra Jewels pouches or any Jewelry Box of your choice for storage.

 

BEADED BRACELETS

Should be treated gently and with care. Never overstretch the elastic band (stretching it over your hand is okay).

 

EARRINGS:

Always wear the plastic discs or metal safety backs with your earrings to help prevent loss.

 

NATURAL STONE CARE:

Chakra Jewels uses natural stones in many of our designs. Excessive water, direct sunlight and any chemicals can alter the color, shape and appearance of natural stones.

 

CRYSTAL OR GLASS BEADS:

To clean designs that contain accent stones, i.e. crystal or glass beads, wipe the piece gently but do not rub. Be careful around corners or prongs because damaging them could cause your stone to become loose.
